Nicholson Financial Services is a boutique financial planning business run by Katrina Gay and licensed by The Salisbury Group Pty Ltd.

At Nicholson Financial Planning we pride ourselves on our quality advice and service. We provide individually tailored strategies for each client, particularly focusing on their goals and how to achieve them. It is our aim to build a strong, lasting relationship with each client, and to provide ongoing advice throughout their lives.

What is Financial Planning?

Financial planning is the process of ensuring you are in a position to meet your life goals by careful management of your finances. Life goals can include things such as; buying your home, saving for your children's education, and preparing for retirement.

Why see a Financial Advisor?

After discussing your life goals with you, your Financial Adviser will be able to advise whether they are realistic, and whether you are currently on track to meet these goals. Your adviser will also outline strategies you can implement to ensure your goals will be met. Before outlining any recommendations or strategies, your Financial Adviser will look at your:

• Income and Expenditure
• Assets and Liabilities
• Tax Position
• Goals and Objectives (and how far away these goals are)
• Your Risk Profile

It is important to review your financial position and your goals regularly as you build your asset base, to ensure you are still on track.

First meeting

We offer a free, confidential, 90 minute meeting with prospective clients at our office in Brunswick. This allows you to get to know a bit more about us before paying for any services. This initial meeting will cover the following:

• A review of your current financial position to identify any inefficiencies, and/or areas where you are currently at risk.
• An assessment of your future financial goals, and whether they are realistic.
• A discussion about your tolerance to risk.
• An outline of some strategies you could consider to enable you to meet your financial goals.
• A clear understanding of our fees and charges.
• If we identify a need for structured financial advice, then you will also receive information about how you can become a client of Nicholson Financial Planning.
