Rich Dad, Poor Dad (Robert Kiyosaki)
I often ask my clients what prompted them to begin investing, and 9/10 times it was this book. It is great introduction to the basics of investing, however as Kiyosaki is American not all the content applies to the Australian market.
The Richest Man in Babylon (George S. Clason)
A fantastic book set in Babylonian times. It is a quick read, but one of my favourites. This is a good book for people who have not started down the investment track yet.
Who Moved my Cheese? (Spencer Johnson)
An inspiring book that challenges the way we think and how we process information.
Think and Grow Rich (Napoleon Hill)
This book taps into the minds of exceedingly wealthy self-made people, to find the secrets of their successes.
One Minute Millionaire (Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G Allen)
Another excellent book showing how you don't need to have a high income or big deposit to get started in investing. Highly recommended.
More Wealth from Residential Property (Jan Somers)
An excellent book on investing in property, written by an Australian author for the Australian market. The best property related book I have read.
Building Wealth Story by Story (Jan Somers)
An interesting book with real life examples of property investing stories. Some are inspiring, some outline mistakes people have made.
Seven Steps to Wealth (John L. Fitzgerald)
This book gives a good overview of what to look for in a property purchase.
Confessions of a Real Estate Agent (Terri Ryder)
Interesting account of property transactions from the real estate agents point of view.
